My work over the years has been an investigation into what I call the quirky sublime, a sublime that reflects our disjointed connection with the natural world, especially in light of recent scientific research that has yet to be properly processed culturally. I use historical images to connect the missing dots in the contemporary dialogue. My ideas are rooted in a personal reinterpretation of Emersonian Transcendentalism, one that intermingles archetypes of Walt Disney with the Sublime, and replaces doubt and curiosity with any 19th century narrative confident of the human imperative. Recently these themes have become personal allegories as I too encompass history.

Unlike other narratives, pictures are silent and leave room for other interpretations. Asking questions is always the beginning of the process and there is no designated destination.
